Well, the results are out. Some are happy, some are sad... I think i'm somewhat in the middle; I'm happy that I got single digit and maintained my score, but a bit disappointed that I didn't do better... So yea, here's a little reflection...
Of all my subjects, I'm most surprised with my English, Chinese, and especially
Geography... For the languages, I thought that I would get like a B4 and B3 respectively, but
low and behold, I got A2 for
both!!!
Holy Xi Gua~! How is that possible?? Ok nevermind about the languages... In come Geography... I
swear I was
smoking through the whole paper, and when I saw that
A1 on my slip, I went, "W-T-F?!?!?! A1 for
Pure Geography??? You have GOTTA be kiddin' me man... NO WAY!" So anyways, gotta thank
Mrs Bala, Ms Chia and
Mrs Goh respectively for these marvelous results.
I was kinda disappointed by my results for Biology, Chemistry and Combined Humanities... The sciences were my anchor subjects, and yet I only scored an A2 for both... Haiz, maybe I was a bit too complacent, and as a result, I've let
Mr Goh and
Mrs Toh down... Let this be a lesson to all my juniors out there: Never be complacent even though you got an A1 for any subject for your prelims. Complacency
KILLS. I didn't feel as bad for my Combined Humanities. Even though it was the worst of all my subjects - a B3 - I'll have to thank
Mr Krishnan and
Mr Tan for their
Notes of Gold... Without it and their guidance, I could have gotten much worse then a B3, but sorry for not getting an A... Yup.
Finally, it's both A.Maths and E.Maths. Kinda happy for these 2; A1 for both. Thank you
Ms Tan(now addressed as
Mrs Chew) and
Mr Yap for your guidance in the world of numbers. At least I didn't let you both down. :-D
So there you have it. We all have just closed a huge chapter in our lives, and it's time to move on... Enjoy(or cry) all you want, and after that, stand up and move on. Let's all move through the newly opened door and
taupok those things that obstruct our way. Let's move on, people!
