I seriously wonder how will the people with seemingly no aim in life besides what is in the present, extremely narrow hearts and what they perceive as the easier route to 'enjoy life' survive in the harsh reality called
Society, aka the
"Real World Out There".
In groups, they may seem like they're the boss, being 'cool' and 'in command'. But in truth, its all just a facade that crumbles away to nothing once they become an individual. 'Cool' is actually just being different from the mainstream; some may even term it as 'weird' or worse, 'gross'. Likewise, 'In command' may be the end result of being extremely loud, literally, and uncouth, so much that there is not much hope in trying to make them change for the better which results in others not bothering to even express their own views or counter-argue, for the simple reason to not damage and dirty their ears.
It may seem as though the world will be a better place if Pandora's Box wasn't opened in the first place, so the 7 deadly sins would not escape and plague the world. But like everything in this universe, when there's light, there is darkness; when there is ying, there is yang, etc. Such people are important, no matter how ironic it may sound, to maintain a balance in this
Society. They give us constant reality checks to remind ourselves how ugly the world is out there; They are constantly reminding ourselves to never EVER be like them, to degrade ourselves to the level of them, to insult Life itself by becoming them. Hence such
'Scum of the Earth', as some would call them, are crucial to the balance and harmony in this world as they make us better persons, better individuals, not just to ourselves, but also the people that we care about. Our family, friends and the other people that help shape our lives will all benefit from this. And from this, Society would benefit from a micro level to a macro level over time.
As such, I stand by the fact that a society cannot function with the absence of such people who live on the '
principles' of hypocrisy, greed, lust, self-centeredness, childishness, etc etc.
